Throwing a gardening birthday party for Izzy was the best way yet to jump start my gardening plans, plans that I had been contemplating for nearly five years. I managed to reap two beautiful raised garden beds full of herbs, tomatoes, and leeks. Not only that but this odd-looking squash appeared.
You see when you put kids, seeds and dirt together and turn your back for just a moment, you never know what will grow. I don't recall having planted an heirloom zucchini, the only fruit to make it on the lovely vine that affixed it self to our neighbor's fence, but I will try to eat it. Maybe Farmer Rich can identify it...
